Sleek Blush By 3 palette in the shade 'Pink Sprint 366'

 I'd never tried a blush by Sleek before, so being a blush obsessive, I felt like it was time to try one and get my first blush palette. I chose a more berry pink toned palette called 'Pink Sprint'.

 As you can see by the packaging, Sleek really does live up to its name...incredibly slim and delicate packaging.

 I thought the names of the blushes were adorable and were fun. Nothing worse than numbers or unoriginal names for beauty products. Sleek did a great job here!

 Here are the colours in the palette. My favourite is the one on the far right which appears to be a mix of the two shades on the left of it. It's a wearable berry pink tone which would be perfect for Autumn/ Winter seasons. The bright pink shade in the centre, 'Pink Ice' is the most neon of the trio and would be amazing for Spring/Summer times. These shades are so wearable and diverse, that they could even be used as eye shadows!

 These are extremely pigmented. I was in shock at how strongly coloured these were. They're easy to work with, blendable and have a lovely smooth and creamy texture. No chalkiness! The blushes are long lasting and don't smudge. I tend to find that some blushes and eye shadows tend to fallout or drop onto other parts of your face - these definitely don't do that! I would say however, that you should apply these lightly and then build them up! Don't go in heavy-handed or with your brush loaded or these will definitely be difficult to work with or blend out for a more natural look.

As you can see they are bright in colour and easy to blend! I think that Pink Parfait might be a struggle to wear for paler and fairer skin tones such as myself, but the other two shades are perfectly wearable!

MUA's Powder Blush in the shade 'Candyfloss'

 I've always seen people love MUA's blushers. In search for a new, less shimmery blush (I currently use the mosaic blush in English Rose) I stumbled upon this little beauty. Once again, MUA didn't break my bank balance as this gorgeous blusher is only £1! Who can argue with that?

 There was quite a good range of colours available but this one really grabbed my attention. It's the perfect colour for getting that natural 'flush' which is what blusher is intended for. It has a slight shimmer in it, but nothing too in your face. In general, it's quite a matte blusher which is perfect for the summer.

 The packaging is perfect. It's sturdy and strong so I know that it won't get broken while being battered around in my cluttered makeup bag! I also know that the lid won't come flying off either, the lid stays on strong.

 Here you can see the slight shimmer.

It has a great pigmentation without having that chalky consistency. Often blushers can be chalky and dusty which can often lead to loss of pigmentation when applied. But this isn't like that. It's surprisingly creamy and blends well to give that soft blush look.

Overall, I'm in love with this blusher! It's everything you'd want for a blusher, especially when it suits so many skin types! For a pound, you can't go wrong.

Beauty Bite: Vivo's Single Eyeshadows, Eyeshadow Trio and Baked Blush! (Lots of pictures)

 Now this I'm excited for! Today I'm reviewing some makeup from the brand 'Vivo' which is exclusive to Tesco. I purchased a baked blush, 4 pearl eyeshadows, 1 matte eyeshadow and an eyeshadow trio. I decided to do this since I've noticed not many people have given these the attention they deserve, so here it is!

 

Let's begin with the single eyeshadows...

Here's what Vivo have to say! (They say A LOT)

We’re a little bit smug of our Eyeshadow range. Why are we so smug you ask? Well not only is it full of pigment - the fact they only cost £1.50 each is a pretty good start! But the deal clincher for us at VIVO HQ is how insanely beautiful they are. The Pearl eyeshadows come in 10 shades from bright greens and purples to soft browns and intense blacks. They’re such a fantastic size for the price you pay and will last you ages! Why not try sweeping Goddess all over the lid, Mink through the crease and Espresso in the outer corner for a soft smokey eye? It’s a foolproof £4.50 (3 x £1.50 eyeshadows!) look that you’ll want to rock as soon as you roll out of bed in the morning."

 

Before we begin, these are slightly older eyeshadows so they have a different packaging, I believe the packaging is now square but they still have the same shades (I checked).

For a start, the colours are just beautiful! Some are subtle like the more brown and gold shades and some are more striking and bolder such as the greens and blues. (I nearly purchased the purple but I resisted). The texture of the shadows is quite nice, slightly creamy but still powdery which makes them easily blendable and less messy. (You know how I hate overly powdery and messy products). When I purchased these they were only £1 but sadly they've risen to £1.50. But don't fret! Online they've been put on sale for only 75p! Such a bargain steal! However, they do tend to fall and end up on your cheeks or under eye area a bit so be careful and they may need touching up every now and then! Another great thing about these is that they are incredibly pigmented! I was shocked at how amazing the colour pay off was for a product so cheap!

 

 

 

Now on to the eyeshadow trio!

 

Now this one I'm not so sure on!This is a trio eyeshadow palette in the shade 'Sugar Plum' which is a range of purple/pink colours. The colour in the middle is beautifully pigmented like the single eyeshadows but the pink isn't that noticable, probably best off using as a highlighter or a shimmer. The darker colour on the end is also good but comes out a little darker than I expected. They have the same consistency as the single eyeshadows with all the same pros (and the one con). It also comes with a handy sponge applicator for those who don't use brushes, but personally I'm not a fan of sponge applicators as they tend to soak up a lot of the product and the texture isn't all that nice!

 

Finally the blush!

 

Before this, I'd never used a baked blush before, so I wasn't too sure what to expect! I chose this in the shade 'Rosy' which is shade 2 but they have a small range of colours to choose from. I bought this at the price of £4 which for the amount you get and the amazing pigmentation, is completely worth it! But because it's so pigmented, try not to apply too much or be heavy handed, this is a strong colour! It has a light shimmer to it, so no need for a highlighter either!

Overall, Vivo is definately an afforable and good quality brand worth checking out!

Today's Beauty Bite: MUA's Mosaic Blush in English Rose

 

 

For a long time I've been using Collection's blush which costs around £4-£5 which for the amount of product was a little much. The thing is...I'm clumsy and more often than not I tend to drop my make up. The worst thing is that I've made a horrible habit of dropping my blushes. This time was the last straw and I decided to change my blush which seemed a big leap for me as I often stick to the same old brands and products.

 

A while ago I noticed MUA's mosaic blush and bronzers but the bronzers are too dark for me and often look like I've smeared mud and dirt all across my pale face! I'd been considering trying the blush but for some reason the purpley/blue coloured parts of the blush pushed me away from buying it and kind of put me off! But I decided to give it a try!

 

To be honest this has been one of the best buys I've come across in a loooong time! It was £2.50 which is an incredibly good price for so much product and for such great quality! The blue actually works really well with the other colours, so do not let that stop you from buying it like I did! The colour it gives is a lovely shimmery subtle pink which isn't too in your face and is perfect for a natural look. However I would say that this is better off for paler complexions. Plus it does leave a lot of excess product when you use it, it can be a tad powdery and can go a bit messy. I bought this around 4 months ago and it's still going strong and I have not hit pan yet (That's after using it everyday). I have to say it has become one of my beauty essentials! Don't believe me?
