Beauty Bite: Christmas Pudding Nail Art

Step 1: Add a clear coat to protect your nail and then paint your whole nail a dark brown colour
Step 2: With a dotting tool, dab some white nail polish onto the base of your nail (by your cuticle) to make it look like it's dripping
Step 3: For a simple holly, draw a cross with a dotting tool or toothpick dipped into green nali polish
Step 4: Add 2 red dots for berries and add a top coat to seal in the design

Beauty Bite: Daisy Nails!

 

Step 1: Apply a basecoat or clear coat
Step 2: Paint your nails a layer of polish of your choice (I chose pink) or you could leave them clear
Step 3: Create some yellow dots on your nails for the centre of the daisy (Leave enough room for the petals)
Step 4: Create white dots around the yellow dot to create petals, do as many of these as you like
Step 5: Once you've finished the flowers, add a top coat! (You may wish to add leaves beforehand)

Beauty Bite: Easy Nails' Fast & Fruity Nail Polish Remover

 

 

 Now for a while I've been reading reviews on Barry M's version of this and seeing that the price is around £5. If anyone knows me, they know I love a good bargain. So on a quick trip to my local Home Bargains store I stumbled across this little beauty! And for...89p!!

When I first saw the price I thought that it was priced wrong, but no 89p.

 

For those of you that don't know what this exactly is, it's a pot filled with a sponge soaked in a lot of nail polish remover. The sponge is quartered so you can put your finger in the centre and use the sponge to remove any nail polish. To me, taking off nail polish is such a chore and takes waaaay too long! This small pot actually took my nail varnish off in about 2-3 minutes! Unbelievable. I know.

 

 Another great thing about it is that it has the date of manufacture and the expiration date which is rare to see on packaging. You often see how many months etc on the bottle until you should stop using the product, but this is even better as I often forget when I bought the product and then end up using it past it's date...oopsie!

 

This product is also great as it isn't tested on animals and it also contains vitamin E to revitalise your nails once the nail polish is removed. It's also brilliant as it doesn't include the solvent acetone (which actually is capable of melting plastic!) So it's completely safe to use on your nails.

 

 Be warned though, this product stinks! The smell is extemely strong so use in a well ventilated area and try not to smell the product! There is a light peach smell but to be honest the only thing you can smell is nail polish remover (which is to be expected). Also, don't make the mistake I did and accidentally tip the pot, the liquid WILL run out...oops again.

Beauty Bite: Collection's Hot Looks Nail Polish

Here's my collection, so as you can tell before I even begin this little review that I like nail polishes...a lot. Also, I like Collection's nail polishes...a lot. That doesn't mean that they don't come without fault, but they are pretty damn good!

These have me hooked big time! For a start they are a pretty affordable £1.99 which is the kinda price I like to see and also the kind of price my bank balance likes to see!

They come in such cute little bottles and even though they the black lid that most nail polishes have, the shape of it looks pretty snazzy. Yes. Snazzy.

They glide on beautifully! No streaks on my nails that a lot of polishes have, this one gives a smooth and dare I say 'professional' finish which appears glossy. The colour range is amazing, as you can see! I often only have to put one coat of this on to get a good solid colour!

However, it chips incredibly easily. So if you want a long lasting nail polish, then this isn't the one for you. But if you want a quick paint your nails then rush out the door kind of nail polish, then this is perfecto! It dries pretty fast as well which is always a plus in my book! Also, I'd recommend putting a base coat on or a clear coat of nail polish on before applying these as some stain your nails (Especially the green ones) I discovered this when I painted my toenails a dark green colour then took it off and it look grim. Real grim. So remember a base coat!!

Overall these nail polishes are pretty good!

Beauty Bite: Miss Sporty nail polish

Miss Sporty nail polish has always been something that's caught my eye but for some reason never got around to buying any! The colour selection is simply gorgeous! The idea choosing which ones I wanted was  unbearable as I adored nearly every colour! Safe to say I was deciding in Superdrug for a good 20 minutes! So on a positive note, the colour range is beautiful!

I adore the packaging! The rounded shape of the glass is different to your typical nail polish bottle. However the labels easily come off at the corners and can be annoying while holding the lid while painting your nails. The polish took around 3 coats to get a good solid colour, but it took a while to dry and i ended up smudging it, as i thought it'd dried...turns out it hadn't! Not so quick dry! Also my nail polish came out slightly streaky with brush strokes appearing on my nails. But i was still impressed with the price at £1.99 and the colour.

I liked the nail polishes but wasnt overly impressed! Butttt I liked the colours which makes me not hate them!
