Fake lashes? Nah, Falsifeye! Seventeen's Falsifeye HD Mascara*

Seventeen's Falsifeye HD Mascara in "Blackest Black"

I often don't wear mascara as I am luckily blessed with naturally long, black eyelashes...every girls' dream! However, there are those moments after applying too much powder, wearing eyeshadow and when your eyelashes annoyingly decide to bend in that awkward kink position - you need a good coat of mascara.
Finding a decent mascara is a nightmare. I myself am an eye rubber. Therefore I struggle to find a good solid mascara that doesn't smudge and keeps my eyelashes looking lengthy for...a good length of time.
The Seventeen Falsifeye HD mascara was one that I felt like needed trying. After not trying a Seventeen mascara before, I've gotta give them a shot at impressing me!

Seventeen's packaging for a start is probably one of my favourite from a beauty brand! It's so quirky and cute, something that definitely catches my eye and helps me find it when I misplace it! The brush is another thing I found interesting. It's a plastic wand and has fewer 'bristles' which I find definitely gives great definition and length for that real 'HD' look. Even though it's meant to look fake, below is a picture after an application and for one coat, it actually looks quite natural! I could easily wear this everyday. Whether or not it gave volume...I'm not too sure.

As you can see, it really did lift my eyelashes and gave a good curl, making me look more awake and hiding the pressed powder that fell onto my lashes! The mascara didn't clump (as you can see below), gave great length and had a really dark black colour which I love in a mascara! As I rub my eyes a lot and usually through general wear, most mascaras fall onto my undereyes and give that panda/raccoon look which for me...isn't entirely the desired look. This was the opposite! It didn't flake, leave a residue or smudge one bit! However, as it is colder weather, I have not tested this mascara in warmer weather or when I am a bit warmer, therefore I can only recommend this in dry and cooler weather!
Results: Left eye - Mascara, Right eye - No mascara
Overall, I think that the results are pretty impressive - wouldn't you agree? For £6.99, I really do think this is one of the best budget mascaras available!

Make your skin look WOW!*

I was never one for the contouring or the bronzing trend, so when strobing hit the scene, I really latched onto this new makeup style. Adding light and shimmer to your face is much more beautiful and appealing than adding darkness! I simply loved how gorgeous girls looked when the sun hit their cheeks and made their highlighter sparkle, so I attempted to give it a go.

After strolling through a Boots store and in awe of the choice of all the Seventeen makeup available, the WOW! 3 way highlighter caught my eye (not just for the large turquoise letters shouting wow at me). After hearing so much about it, I knew that this was the product to try!

With a mix of yellow and pink undertones, this highlighter seems to suit any person or skin tone. It has the right amount of shimmer and is so creamy to the skin. Applying and blending is simply effortless – just what a person needs when they’re in a rush! It’s so versatile; it can be used to highlight any area of the face, and I particularly use it on my cheeks, nose and eyebrows to add a natural, dewy finish to the skin. It can even be used as a primer under foundation or a BB/CC cream in order to add a healthy glow for a quick morning pick me up after a rough night sleep, or even to help your makeup stick for the day.

One pump of the WOW! Highlighter
The product blended in
The amount of product you receive is well worth the price, and the handy pump and sturdy packaging allows easy application and peace in knowing that it won’t spill or crack everywhere! (Absolute nightmare!) None of that messy application or chaotic makeup bags!

Not only is the product itself incredible to use, but at the price of £5.99, it’s a complete steal and matches the quality of top notch beauty products and highlighters. It’s now a daily staple in my makeup routine and I’ve even managed to get my friends hooked on it too.

A highlighter worth trying to fit the strobing trend. It really does make your skin look WOW!

Maybelline New York Fit Me Concealer in Shade '15'

So being the sleep-deprived student that I am - often staying up far too late chatting than I should - I am in dire need of a new, hydrating and high-coverage concealer. After having a friend use this often and myself being addicted to my Benefit Fake Up concealer, I thought that this might be an affordable change in my daily routine. Often at the price of £6.99, I was often hesitant to try in case it didn't work. However, Feel Unique's sale saved the day meaning I got it for a little cheaper...perfect time to try!
I chose 15 as 10 actually looked darker than 15! Odd shade range but I went for it. I will admit it has a slight orangey tone to it, but that's perfect for covering up my purple circles under my tired eyes. This works perfectly at masking and keeping those purple hues at bay, however, it still allows my face to look natural and not cakey. It's not drying, irritating or blotchy, so it definitely measures up to the hype and my expectations.

However, if you are looking a tad tired or often have fine lines either from lack of sleep or smiling too much (another issue I have), this one is best to be used sparingly as is does sink into those unwanted cracks and crevices. Also, it can be so hydrating that it doesn't always stay put. I can slide around and with the slight touch all rub off. So it needs to be well powdered but not so  much that it looks thick.

Overall, I think this really does rate as a concealer and deserves a lot more positive reviews to be written about it. I am so impressed! Definitely worth recommending!
