Beauty Battle: Battle of the Lip Scrubs!

It's battle of the lip scrubs! It's Lush's SANTA'S Lip Scrub VS. ELF's Lip Exfoliator. Let's see the pros of each product...

ELF Lip Exfoliator:
  • Gets rid of dry lips
  • Perfect for using before applying lipstick
  • Smells amazing (A sort of sweet, cocoa/sugar smell)
  • Moisturises at the same time
  • Handy lipstick shape for easy application
  • Cheap price (£3.75)
  • Expensive looking packaging

Lush Lip Scrub:
  • Gets rid of dry lips
  • Perfect for using before applying lipstick
  • Even more amazing smell (Cola flavour)
  • Small pot which can be easily put in your bag
  • Tastes really nice
  • Gives your lips a hint of colour (Slight red)
  • This was originally £5.50 (Like the other lip scrubs in the original line) but this was in the sale for £2.25
  • Cute packaging
And the winner is...
The Lush Lip Scrub! This may be a little bit more expensive, but it never fails me! Tastes lovely, no harmful chemicals, all natural, great packaging and gives the lips a lovely colour! Try one of the Lush lip scrubs and the ELF Lip Exfoliators to be rid of that annoying dry skin this Winter!
Give them a try!

Beauty Bite: ELF's Eyelid Primer in 'Sheer'

Now I've heard some wonderful things about this product so I just had to try it out! For someone like me who has oily eyelids and eyeshadow doesn't really like to stay very long, this is the kind of product I like! This Little tube of primer is a brilliant steal price at £1.50. You can't really leave something so great there for such an amazing and affordable price.
It comes with an easy brush/sponge applicator which is great for when you need to quickly do your make up. You only need a small amount of this product for it to work it's magic which is an even bigger bonus! It makes your eyeshadows appear brighter and more vibrant as well as making them last long.
You can buy this eyelid primer in 4 shades, so do not panic if the shade 'sheer' is not for you! You can also buy it in 'Champagne', 'Pearl' and 'Golden'. This product blends out beautifully and doesn't make your eyeshadow crease which is also a real problem for me with eyeshadows. It's also lightweight so doesn't feel heavy on your eyelids after a long day.
All in all, this is a budget friendly, eyelid loving primer (you'll probably love it too, not just your eyelids).
If you're in need of a primer or if you've never tried one before and wish to give it a go, this is definitely something to try!

Plus, ELF have a sale on right now...so go go go!

Beauty Bite: Elf Haul

Elf had a offer on products (I think it was 30% off when you buy £20 or more) so as you do, you go a little crazy...especially on the lip products. I haven't ordered from ELF for a while so here's my purchases!
First was the Lip Exfoliator. This was something a lot of people raved about so I felt the need to jump on the bandwagon and try it. For £3.75, it seemed like a decent product. I get extremely dry lips really often and all year round so after trying this, it may result in being a permanent product in my everyday routine.
This is the Studio Matte Lip Colour in the shade 'Natural'. I've heard mixed reviews about this product and I've never tried a matte product from ELF before so I decided to throw this in my shopping basket. I was very close to getting another shade which I think was 'Tea Rose' but apparently the colour in real life is different to online. It seems like a nice size lip crayon and a gorgeous colour. Can't wait to try! For again £3.75, it's a nice price!
This was one of the first things I clicked on and immediately decided I'd like to try it. It's the Mineral Lipstick in the shade 'Runway Pink'. This was a little pricier at £5.00 so we'll soon see if it's worth the money! It again is a lovely natural lip colour, a sort of 'my lips but better'. I've heard some great things about this one!
Next is the Studio Lip Balm SPF 15 in the shade 'Pink'. It seems like my kind of colour, love a bit of pink! The packaging seems lovely, it has an SPF and was priced again at £3.75. The only thing is, mine had some weird white stuff on it (as you can seen in the third picture) a bit odd...
The last three things I ordered were the Luscious Liquid Lipstick in the shade 'Raspberry' at the price of £1.50. This is such a good price! I was recommended this product from a fellow beauty blogger so I am almost certain I'l enjoy this one. Then the famous Eyelid Primer from ELF at £1.50 in the shade 'Sheer'. Everyone says how amazing this eyelid primer is and that for this price, you can't go wrong. Finally the Therapeutic Conditioning (Soothing) Lip Balm in Strawberry Creme for £1.50.

I'm excited to test these products out to see how good they are! For those prices, you can't really complain! Keep your eyes out for reviews on these products soon!

If you've tried these, let me know what you think :)

Beauty Bite: ELF's All Over Cover Stick in the Shade Ivory

Beauty Bite: ELF's All Over Cover Stick in the Shade Ivory

Now here's a product that immediately caught my eye online! So much that I bought 2! This is something I've been trying for a while now, but to be honest, I'm not all that keen on it. It's the ELF All Over Cover Stick in the shade 'Ivory'. I will admit the price of it is pretty good as it's only £1.50 because it's from their original line. But was it worth buying? I'm not entirely sure yet.

It might be due to the shade I picked as I thought that the shade Ivory would be a lighter white/cream sort of shade like it appeared online. However as you can see, it comes out a lot more yellow than expected. At first I thought that it being yellow, it would work well to cancel out my dark circles under my eyes. It did that actually and had quite good coverage, but it just appeared yellow/orange under my eyes and looked as if I had bruising...not quite the look I was going for!
The packaging is quite cute, it's small and easy to put in your bag as it doesn't take up much room, but it was a lot smaller than I expected! The consistency of it isn't actually that nice. It's kind of sticky and greasy which makes it really hard to apply and blend out. It also tends to crease and clings to dry skin and settles in fine lines. Plus, it can be quite drying itself and if you apply too much, can look cakey. However, the smell of the product is quite pleasant, sort of a citrus/orange smell which isn't too bad. It also didn't make me break out which is always a plus!

Overall, I think for the price you pay for it, it's an okay product but I wouldn't say it's brilliant. Maybe I just need to buy a different shade and I might change my mind slightly? I've heard quite a few people like it, but I was slightly disappointed. If anyone else has used this please let me know, would love to hear what you think! :)

Possibly worth a try
